Senior Technical Project Manager – Salary (45-65k depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)

A bit about the job:

In the Senior Project Manager role, you’ll be working independently, you will influence, update and challenge senior stakeholders up to CIO level whilst taking ownership of a budget up to £5 million.

You will use your experience to initiate and shape projects and will be responsible for their financial management/planning.

We’ll also expect you to lead internal and external teams and third-party suppliers.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

  • Programme Leadership: Successfully delivered complex, multi-stream programmes within data and marketing domains, ensuring robust delivery governance. Demonstrates advanced project management capabilities throughout all phases—from discovery to benefits realisation—with preference for professional accreditation (though not mandatory). Proven competency in risk and budget management.

  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of data architecture, SaaS-based MDM solutions, and data modernisation initiatives. Experienced in developing “data products” utilising platforms such as Snowflake and Data Lake via DBT, as well as data transformation with ETL processes. Proficient in data quality management, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data analytics.

  • Agile & Innovation: Skilled in Agile/SAFe and waterfall delivery methodologies, with comprehensive understanding of delivery practices including CI/CD and DevOps. Capable of fostering innovation in change delivery and outcomes through the application of GenAI.

  • Data & Marketing: Background in data and marketing within regulated environments, offering practical expertise in testing and release planning.

  • Stakeholder Influence: A persuasive and effective communicator with senior stakeholders; demonstrates resilience, adaptability, and a strong track record in driving strategic change.

  • Starting salary between 45k and 65k (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
