We're looking for a Software Engineer with experience in Java and Spring Boot who is excited by modern engineering practices and the opportunity to work with cloud technologies, automation and customer data platforms.

A bit about the job:
You'll join our Strategic Customer Master Data Management team within Customer Data Platforms, a team at the heart of Aviva's digital strategy. We provide a trusted, single source of customer data that supports customer journeys, marketing activity and informed decision-making across Aviva's businesses.
Working closely with engineers, designers, product teams and business stakeholders, you'll help build and evolve the services that support over 17 million customers.
You'll develop software, contribute to cloud and platform engineering initiatives, and help modernise our data estate using a full-stack approach that includes platform code, infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
Experience developing software using Java and Spring Boot, with knowledge of API development and Git source control
Understanding of modern software engineering practices and Agile delivery methods
Exposure to AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, or other cloud engineering and deployment technologies
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate technical issues and contribute to incident resolution
A passion for learning, continuous improvement and developing new skills across software engineering, automation and cloud technologies

Salary: Circa £40000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
Bonus opportunity – 8% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's
