We’re looking for a Special Projects Actuary to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role is pivotal in delivering key strategic projects that shape the future of our business. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, including the ALPI CFO and Ireland Life CEO, to design and implement solutions that drive financial and operational excellence. Duties and responsibilities
  • Support the Finance function in executing strategic projects, including reinsurance and investment enhancements.
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior leadership, providing strategic counsel and commercial insight.
  • Lead the design and delivery of Finance and Investment solutions, driving collaboration across teams.
  • Manage benefits tracking and present outcomes to local and Group committees.
  • Oversee third-party suppliers to ensure timely and value-driven delivery.
  • Promote a strong risk and control environment with comprehensive documentation.

Skills and experience
  • Qualified Actuary and member of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland (or equivalent).
  • Substantial experience in the Life Insurance industry.
  • Strong technical, regulatory, and commercial knowledge.
  • Ability to interpret data and develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and interact effectively at all levels.
