Starting Salary: c. £80,000 depending on experience
Locations: York, Bristol or Norwich with 50% office attendance
This role would suit a structured and analytical thinker with experience in strategy development, business casing and working with senior stakeholders—perhaps from consulting, financial services or a customer-led strategy role—who is looking to make a tangible impact at enterprise level.
Working within the Planning and Strategic Projects team in Group Customer & Marketing, this role is focused on identifying and shaping opportunities for Aviva to better meet the needs of our 16 million customers through data-driven insight. You’ll work closely with senior management to understand the size and scope of these opportunities, the capabilities required, and the level of change needed to deliver value.
The role plays a key part in translating strategic priorities into practical, phased plans, enabling informed decision-making across senior leadership forums. You’ll be responsible for developing high-quality materials, bringing together complex information, and ensuring agreed opportunities are shaped into clear operating plans with defined outcomes and timelines.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:- Ability to develop and shape tangible strategies at a corporate or functional level
- Strong analytical skills, including experience building financial models and business cases
- Proven ability to synthesise complex information into clear, high-quality outputs
- Experience working with senior leaders and supporting effective decision-making forums
- Ideally, consultancy experience within financial services or customer strategy

- Starting salary c. £80,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
