We’re looking for a Trading Underwriter with experience in Property and Liability to join our team. You’ll help us grow profitable business by building strong relationships with brokers and customers. This role sits within our Leeds branch where we focus on delivering tailored underwriting solutions. You’ll work independently within your authority, and collaborate on more complex risks when needed. Your work will directly support Aviva’s strategy and customer-first approach.

A bit about the job:

•    Underwriting profitable existing business within agreed guidelines.
•    Building and maintaining strong broker/customer relationships.
•    Providing technical support and resolving queries.
•    Collaborating with internal teams to deliver the best customer outcomes.
•    Managing your own portfolio and contributing to team success.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

•    Experience in Property & Liability underwriting.
•    Strong communication and negotiation skills.
•    Ability to plan, prioritise and manage time effectively.
•    Knowledge of FCA and relevant regulations.
•    Experience working in a large, complex organisation.
