UK Title Manager – Legal Indemnities

A bit about the job 

This role is all about further developing our UK Title strategy. As well as underwriting, you will manage a team of technical underwriters and work closely with senior stakeholders to shape policy and improve performance. You’ll also support product development and ensure we stay compliant with regulations. Your expertise will help us deliver great customer outcomes and strengthen our reputation as a trusted expert in the market. 

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Extensive experience of undertaking a senior Title / Legal Indemnity underwriting role, for an Insurer, MGA or Broker.   

• UK insurance market knowledge is essential also  

• Leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the very best out of a team of underwriters  

• Deep understanding of underwriting frameworks and regulatory requirements, alongside recent experience setting technical underwriting standards / risk appetite and driving improvement in products, propositions and wordings 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills i.e., ability to collaborate successfully with senior stakeholders to drive policy development, initiate performance and process reviews and strengthen compliance with regulations and controls.
