Aviva are currently seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join their team in Cardiff. A bit about the job:

This role sits within GI Distribution & SME Trading – Mid‑Market, As an Underwriting Assistant, you’ll provide an outstanding service to our customers and brokers. You’ll drive new business and professional relationships, directly contributing to the underwriting profit and loss, trading, and service delivery goals.

Aviva are also committed to your development and will support you in studying towards relevant CII qualifications, helping you build a strong foundation for a long‑term career in underwriting.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Previous Insurance experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided

• Proven record of delivering excellent customer outcomes along with good knowledge of IT including spreadsheets and word processing

• Strong communication and negotiation skills; with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills and ability to manage own workload and work to deadlines

• Demonstrate desire to build knowledge and gain experience in the insurance industry

• Salary - Competitive (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
