With‑Profits Reporting Lead & With‑Profits Projects Lead

Salary: Circa £130,000  Locations: York or Bristol

We're looking for talented actuaries to join our Insurance, Wealth & Retirement (IWR) Finance team, where we have two opportunities available: With‑Profits Reporting Lead and With‑Profits Projects Lead. These senior roles sit at the centre of how we manage our With‑Profits funds, supporting fair outcomes for customers and shareholders and ensuring strong decision‑making across Aviva. Whether your strengths are in delivering clear, well‑controlled reporting or leading complex projects, you'll play an important part in shaping a confident and well‑governed future for our With‑Profits business.

A bit about the job:

Both roles are part of the wider IWR Finance community.  The Reporting Lead is part of the IWR Chief Accounting Officer team, which provides accurate, timely and insight‑driven financial reporting across a broad set of life insurance products.   In this role, you would be leading With‑Profits reporting, ensuring our results are clear, well‑controlled and delivered with confidence.  The projects role aligns to the With‑Profits Actuary and will lead on major With‑Profits projects, resolving complex issues with products and funds and managing delivery of outcomes displaying strong change management disciplines.

Both roles are high‑profile, with real influence on customer outcomes, shareholder value and Aviva’s long‑term with‑profits strategy.  You will engage with senior leaders across Aviva, including Finance, Risk and the Wealth Business.  Whichever opportunity you take, you’ll be part of a supportive team that values expertise, clear communication and collaborative working.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Qualified actuary with strong experience in With‑Profits business, reporting or project delivery.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial issues, form balanced judgements and communicate them clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of risk, controls and governance, and how they support fair outcomes and high‑quality reporting.
  • Proven leadership skills — able to build and develop teams, influence decisions, and drive improvements across processes or through projects.
  • Confidence working with diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders, committees, auditors and project teams.

What you’ll get for this role:
