Workday Systems Specialist

Location: Norwich, Leeds, or Glasgow

Salary: Circa £43k

We're looking for a proactive and technically minded Workday Systems Specialist to join our internal People Systems team. This role is focused on the day-to-day support, administration, and continuous improvement of our global Workday platform. You'll be responsible for resolving system issues, supporting users, maintaining data integrity, and helping ensure the effective operation of Workday and its integrations.

Working closely with HR and business stakeholders, you'll play a key role in delivering a stable, secure, and user-focused Workday experience while supporting governance, compliance, and process improvement initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in Workday while working alongside an experienced team in a collaborative and supportive environment.

A bit about the job

Provide global operational support for Workday, managing day-to-day system administration, monitoring, and managing the Workday support queue, prioritising and resolving incidents and service requests through ServiceNow.

Investigate and troubleshoot system issues, carrying out initial analysis and working with colleagues and third-party suppliers to resolve more complex problems when required. Support routine system administration activities, including user access management, inbound and outbound integrations, data upload activities, and testing of system changes.

Create and maintain support documentation, knowledge articles and standard operating procedures while identifying opportunities to automate processes. Contribute to governance, compliance, and risk management activities, ensuring adherence to internal controls and best practice and delivering a high-quality support experience for Workday users across the organisation.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience supporting business SAAS platforms such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or similar systems would be advantageous.
  • Strong interest in IT / Systems, with the ability to communicate effectively and provide support to users across a range of business systems and applications.
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues, follow processes and escalate more complex problems when required.
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Comfortable working with technology and data, with a willingness to learn new systems, processes and tools while contributing positively as part of a team.
