UKGI Claims plays a significant role for Aviva, delivering customer outcomes and controlling indemnity spend.

Claims re-engineering launched in early 2022 and is an ambitious transformation programme targeted at closing the gap to market-leading performance. It encompasses change across operations, process, IT, data and analytics, and stretches across all lines of business.

A bit about the job:

Working closely with business and IT colleagues, as a Change Lead you will be responsible for managing projects from initiation through to completion. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope and on budget. You could be involved in the following types of transformation activity:

  • Process change, understanding best practice and business readiness activities

  • Enhancing colleague, customer and broker solutions through use of digital technology, automation and analytics.

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • A natural organiser and problem solver, with the ability to plan activities, manage timelines, and spot risks or issues early — even if you haven’t formally managed a project before, experience coordinating work or leading initiatives is valuable.

  • Collaborative and relationship-focused, with the ability to build trust and work effectively with colleagues across teams, including senior stakeholders. You bring people with you and help others understand the “why” behind the change.

  • Experience in project delivery, whether through formal methodologies like Prince2 or Agile, or through hands-on involvement in change activity. Familiarity with tools like Jira is a bonus, but not essential.

  • Clear and confident communicator, able to explain updates, challenges or ideas in a way that makes sense to different audiences — especially avoiding jargon and keeping things simple and impactful

  • Comfortable with change and ambiguity, showing energy, ownership and a desire to learn. You don’t need to have all the answers, but you’re curious, resilient and keen to make a difference.
