A bit about the job
We’re looking for a Cloud Service Team Lead to join our growing Cloud Platform Engineering team.
You’ll lead a group of talented Cloud Engineers and take ownership of key cloud services that keep our largescale financial platforms running smoothly.
Your work will have real impact — supporting millions of customers, improving how our cloud services perform, and driving change that helps Aviva grow securely and efficiently.
You’ll balance people leadership with hands-on technical direction, helping your team deliver great solutions while making sure our services are reliable, secure and always improving.
You’ll work closely with engineering leaders, architects and stakeholders to shape service roadmaps and contribute to our cloud strategy.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
Proven experience leading technical teams, ideally in a cloud or platform engineering environment.
Strong knowledge of AWS cloud platform, with hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple streams of work, balancing delivery and operational responsibilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams and passion for developing people and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
A track record of owning and improving services, ensuring they deliver value and meet compliance requirements.

Salary: National £70K London £85K (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
