Corporate Governance Manager

We are looking for an ambitious Corporate Governance professional who is keen to take the next step in their career! If you are a graduate CG or AGC with at least five years of corporate governance experience working in a FTSE250 and are used to completing tasks to a high standard within a large, corporate setting, then we’d love to hear from you!
A bit about the job:
As a Corporate Governance Manager, you will provide high-quality company secretarial and corporate governance support to Aviva’s General Insurance business, boards and committees, enabling them to set and achieve strategic priorities.
You will Work as part of a driven team responsible for delivering timely and accurate governance advice, maintaining statutory records and registers, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. You’ll support board operations, and act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, and support integration of M&A activity into governance frameworks and encourage sustainability initiatives.
The role also contributes to the development of best practice governance across GI and the wider Aviva Group, including collaboration with Subsidiary Governance and other Corporate Governance teams. You’ll support year-end processes, coach junior team members, and enhance risk management capabilities, supporting the three lines of defence model.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:- Qualified company secretary with extensive listed company secretarial and corporate governance knowledge, gained from working for FTSE 250 companies previously.
 - Senior stakeholder management skills, confident communicating up to Executive/Director level.
 - Proven track record of supporting boards/committees, leading governance for complex transactions, and managing high-stakes reporting
 - Excellent self-management i.e., the ability to work independently, making business critical decisions.
 - Strong attention to detail, with high standard minute writing abilities

- Starting salary circa £65,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
