As our new Corporate Risk Specialist, you’ll lead the growth and retention of our Group Risk portfolio—delivering seamless, strategic solutions across life and disability schemes. You’ll be the go-to expert for brokers, trustees, and internal teams—driving proposition development, ensuring operational excellence, and helping us stay ahead in a competitive market. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Build and lead strategic broker and stakeholder relationships—delivering training, supporting client presentations, and driving retention. 

  • Own the Group Risk sales pipeline—developing new opportunities and influencing proposition enhancements using market insight. 

  • Act as the internal expert on Group Risk—advising on benefit design, regulation, and Master Trust governance. 

  • Lead scheme onboarding and delivery—working cross-functionally with underwriting, compliance, operations, and IT. 

  • Represent Aviva in trustee meetings and industry forums—ensuring compliance and thought leadership. 

  • Monitor market trends and feed insights into senior leadership to shape strategy and maintain a competitive edge. 

 

Skills & Experiences 

  • Senior-level experience in Group Risk within the industry.  

  • Deep understanding of compulsory and voluntary scheme models. 

  • Proven ability to influence across underwriting, legal, operations, and product teams. 

  • Experience delivering bundled pension and risk solutions, ideally within a Master Trust environment. 

  • Strong CRM and pipeline management skills. 

  • Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and excellent communication skills
