Data Engineering Delivery Manager

A bit about the job

You'll join our Data Engineering function, helping us plan, prioritise, and deliver work across several engineering squads. This role exists to bring visibility, flow, and focus to our delivery pipeline, making sure the right work is done at the right time. You’ll partner closely with Engineering Managers, Product Owners and business teams to coordinate roadmaps and keep delivery on track.
 

Your work will help the Head of Data Engineering balance competing demands and maintain high‑quality execution across our portfolio.
Most importantly, you’ll make sure our teams have the clarity, context, and support they need to succeed.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience leading delivery in a technology, data, or engineering environment. With a good understanding of engineering workflows and deliverables
  • Familiarity with data products and Data Mesh, with exposure to portfolio management tools (like Jira or Azure DevOps) and an understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks.
  • Confidence prioritising work in complex Enterprise settings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience running cross‑team Agile or hybrid processes.
  • A disciplined approach to managing risks, dependencies, and delivery‑focused reporting.

  • Starting salary Circa £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
