Customer Data Platforms is a collection of data platform teams that facilitate fundamental customer interactions and journeys, which enable Aviva to deliver on its customer-centric strategy and most importantly, appropriate and fair customer decisions.
This role resides in CIO but supporting the Customer Data team, which is at the core of Aviva’s digital strategy and provides a single source of customer data across our Customer and Marketing, GI and IWR propositions. We’re constantly striving to explore innovative ways to engage with new and existing customers on a portfolio of products that reach out to 17 million customers.
The successful candidate will work with projects and business teams, alongside our platform architect, lead engineers and scrum teams to ensure the smooth delivery desired of outcomes.
You will be expected to produce design documentation working alongside project solution designers which then feed into our engineering scrum teams. The role involves working with the wider Architectural Community and the CIO roadmaps to ensure our estate is suitable for business purposes whilst ensuring the technology is future proofed. The role also interacts with the central run and operations team to ensure stable service delivery to our customers.
We are constantly modernising our complex data estate and play an important part in all Aviva teams achieving strategic targets, whilst supporting business self-service were possible. Skills and experience we’re looking for
- Engage with key architectural stakeholders and change forums to coordinate technical strategies that support out estate and customer’s future demand.
- Identify, research and agree technical plans to maintain a complex and but low-cost data estate.
- Analysis of production issues to help support an appropriate plan of resolution to ensure the availability of accurate data
- Support the Platform Architect in developing and delivering the technical platform strategy and roadmaps
- Understanding of various engineering languages and tech i.e. Java, Python, Sql, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, etc

- Salary £45,000 - £60,000(depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
