A bit about the job

You’ll join our Insurance, Wealth and Retirement Analytics Team — a friendly group shaping how we use data across Aviva. You’ll build and maintain predictive models that help our teams make confident, data‑led decisions. You’ll work closely with people across the business, making sure our insights are understood and used in the right way. You’ll explore one of the richest insurance datasets in the world and turn it into solutions that make a real difference. And you’ll play an active part in our growing data science community.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

• Strong numerical skills and a degree or equivalent experience in maths, statistics, computer science or a similar field.
• Experience across the full data science workflow: defining the problem, preparing data, building models and deploying solutions.
• Confident coding skills in Python, R, SQL or Spark.
• Experience using modern analytics platforms such as Dataiku or Snowflake.
• Ability to explain technical ideas clearly and work well with technical and non‑technical teams.

• Starting salary circa £36,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
