We are looking for a passionate and innovative Data Scientist to join our Commercial Lines Pricing Analytics team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-profile data science function that is helping shape the future of insurance through advanced analytics and machine learning. You will play a key role in developing and deploying predictive models, generating actionable insights, and supporting the transition from traditional pricing methodologies to next-generation machine learning techniques.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners, you will help drive data-led decision making, influence strategic outcomes, and contribute to Aviva's growing data science capability. This role offers exposure to modern technology stacks, innovative modelling approaches, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact across the business.

Skills & Experience

• Proven ability to apply data science, analytics, or machine learning techniques to solve business or research problems, gained through academic, internship, placement, or professional experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or SQL, including data preparation, feature engineering, model development, and performance monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical concepts into clear and actionable insights for a range of audiences.
• Proactive and intellectually curious, with a track record of taking ownership of problems, seeking out opportunities for improvement, and driving solutions forward.
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience working effectively in cross-functional teams and adapting to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of delivery.

• Salary: £28,000 £38,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
