We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced European Tax Manager to join our growing and supportive team. This is a great job for someone with experience in tax compliance and risk management in a large corporate setting who might be looking for a step up. This role offers you the opportunity to learn more about European taxation and will involve occasional travel to Luxembourg.

A bit about the job:
You’ll support the fund activity of the Aviva Investors Private Markets business, focusing on European investments across real estate, infrastructure equity, and private debt, working as part of our tax team covering that business. You’ll oversight role will involve working with external tax partners and internal teams in the UK and Luxembourg to ensure service providers deliver accurate, timely tax reporting and compliance, meeting the required deadlines. You’ll also help shape best practice controls and manage tax risk in line with our standards. This role plays a key part in delivering great outcomes for our investors and our business.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Tax compliance experience, the ability to collaborate across functions and with external service providers and advisers, plus commitment to meeting deadlines, are key attributes
- Experience in European tax compliance and tax risk management
- Understanding of the tax issues related to real estate, infrastructure equity, and private debt investments
- Experience of developing and maintaining tax control frameworks and escalation processes in line with corporate tax governance standards
- Experience of tax work in a large corporate group or asset management business

- London Salary Circa £65,000 and National Salary Circa £55,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
