Financial Reporting Accountant
We’re looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll help ensure the accuracy and integrity of our general ledger and balance sheet reporting. You’ll play a key part in maintaining strong financial controls and supporting audit readiness. You’ll also contribute to projects that improve how we work, helping to streamline processes and enhance reporting efficiency. It’s a great opportunity to work across teams and make a real impact on how we manage financial data.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the outsourced general ledger function
Oversee the offshore accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions in line with accounting standards and company policies. - Support cross-functional collaboration
Work closely with Customer Experience and IT teams to resolve issues affecting ledger processes, and coordinate responses to audit queries. - Monitor performance and compliance
Evaluate the effectiveness of the outsourced team and ensure all general ledger activities meet internal and external expectations. - Lead balance sheet quality assurance
Design and maintain robust controls, conduct regular reconciliations, and oversee remediation of any gaps to meet corporate standards. - Drive process improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions that enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Skills & Experiences
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
You’re confident working with financial systems and understand the importance of accurate, timely ledger entries. - Experience managing outsourced services
You’ve worked with offshore teams and know how to build strong, productive relationships. - Detail-oriented with a focus on control
You’re experienced in balance sheet reconciliations and can spot and resolve discrepancies quickly. - Collaborative and solutions-focused
You enjoy working across teams and finding ways to improve how things are done. - Audit and compliance awareness
You’re comfortable supporting internal and external audits and ensuring financial processes meet regulatory standards. - Educational Background Finance related degree and or qualification (ACCA, ACA & CIMA) is necessary
