Head of Corporate Distribution
Reflecting Aviva’s growth ambition, we are excited to introduce a new role within our distribution team in Ireland. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Corporate Distribution to join our team. Working closely with the wider commercial area of the business, the Head of Corporate Distribution will be accountable for the development and execution of Aviva’s corporate distribution strategy.
You will have primary responsibility for developing new corporate relationships and leading existing corporate relationships to ensure that business targets are achieved in line with Aviva’s ambition to deliver growth, enhance its market position and ensure long term sustainability. You will be responsible for driving a robust culture within the corporate function where employees are empowered and accountable for delivering the goals of the organisation.
You will lead a team of account managers and technical specialists, accountable for delivery of a number of KPI’s supporting Aviva’s growth ambitions.
This role requires a deep understanding of the insurance industry, market dynamics and competitive landscapes.
This role can is based in our Dublin office and adheres to Aviva's hybrid working policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Commercial Focus: Reporting directly to the Distribution Director, delivering targeted revenue growth through the development and execution of a corporate strategy resulting in increased revenue and market share
Growth Strategy: Identify, negotiate and secure strategic partnerships with brokers that align with Aviva’s growth strategy, leading due diligence and integration processes as needed
Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and customer needs, utilising data-driven insights to inform decision-making
Collaboration: Working closely with the broader distribution team and senior leadership to deliver on the company’s growth ambition.
Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic sales initiatives and provide regular updates to the executive team and board of directors
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate and national account clients, regulatory bodies and industry associations, to enhance Aviva’s reputation and influence
Risk Management: Evaluates risks associated with strategic decisions and ensures that strategies align with Aviva’s risk appetite
Skills & Experience:
Extensive experience business development / distribution within the Irish Life & Pensions market
Extensive knowledge and experience of the broker market
Ability to problem solve and negotiate with key business internal and external stakeholders
Proven track record in acquiring and nurturing new and existing customers to expand the customer base and drive business growth
Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically, with a focus on long-term organisational goals
