Regional Sales Manager
We have an exciting and outstanding opportunity to join our Sales & Distribution team in Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland (ALPI). We are seeking a results-driven and strategic manager to lead one of our regional sales teams in Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland (ALPI). The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, cultivating new and existing broker relationships, and spearheading strategic initiatives. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to manage and develop a high-performing team of account managers and sales support staff.
The successful candidate will ideally be situated in the Midlands, West or Northeast region of Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Revenue Growth:
Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to achieve and exceed regional sales targets.
Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive positioning.
Drive innovation in sales approaches and product offerings to enhance market share.
Broker Relationship Management:
Build and nurture strategic partnerships with brokers to ensure long-term business growth.
Develop and execute broker engagement plans to enhance collaboration and mutual success.
Provide strategic insights and support to brokers, enabling them to effectively market our products.
Strategic Initiatives:
Collaborate with the Sales Director to formulate and execute regional strategic plans.
Lead initiatives to optimise sales processes, improve customer experience, and drive operational efficiency.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Team and People Management:
Lead, inspire, and develop a team of 8 account managers and 3 sales support staff to achieve strategic objectives.
Implement performance management systems to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional development within the team.
Leadership and Vision:
Demonstrate strategic leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Communicate the company's vision and strategic goals effectively to team members, brokers, and senior management.
Represent the company at industry events and forums, positioning the company as a thought leader in the life assurance sector.
Skills & Experience:
Extensive experience in a sales/sales management role within the life assurance or financial services industry.
Deep understanding of broker distribution channels and market dynamics.
Proven track record of developing and executing strategic plans that drive business growth.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Results-oriented with a strategic mindset and a focus on long-term success.
