Head of GenAI for General Insurance
R-162613 Head of GenAI for General Insurance
Location: London or Norwich
Salary: £110,000 - £125,000
The Head of GenAI plays a pivotal role in helping General Insurance unlock new value through the practical, responsible and scalable use of GenAI. Working as a strategic partner to senior leaders across Personal Lines, Commercial Lines and Claims, the role focuses on identifying high‑impact opportunities, shaping realistic solutions, and ensuring GenAI is successfully embedded into day‑to‑day operations.
A bit about the job
This is not a purely technical role, although technical understanding is important, it is about partnering to drive AI driven innovation into the business—working closely with leadership teams to understand their challenges, translate them into GenAI‑enabled use cases, and guide delivery through to adoption and measurable outcomes. The focus is on what GenAI can do for the business: improving efficiency, enhancing customer experience, enabling faster decision‑making and opening up entirely new opportunities for growth.
The role leads the end‑to‑end lifecycle of GenAI initiatives, from discovery and prioritisation through to implementation and scaling. It brings together technical experts, product teams, data scientists and operational leaders to ensure solutions are safe, compliant, value‑driven and aligned to GI's strategic priorities.
The Head of GenAI helps build a culture that embraces experimentation, responsible innovation and continuous learning—ensuring that GenAI delivers real benefits for customers, colleagues and the business
