A bit about the job

This role exists to lead Aviva’s serverless compute strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient cloud services for internal teams. You’ll be part of the Hosting and Service Platforms team, working closely with product owners, engineers, and enterprise architects. Your work will directly shape how Aviva adopts and evolves serverless technologies, enabling faster delivery and better service experiences across the business.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

  • Deep expertise in AWS (including IAM, Lambda, Fargate, ECS/ECR); AWS Solution Expert certification preferred.

  • Proven experience architecting serverless and cloud-native solutions.

  • Strong understanding of compute platforms, containerisation, and integration patterns.

  • Ability to translate complex business needs into robust technical strategies.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a strategic mindset and delivery focus

  • Starting salary circa £75,000-£80,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
