Head of IT, Cyber & Operational Resilience – salary circa £160,000

A bit about the job

You’ll lead our second line of defence for IT, cyber and operational resilience risk across Aviva’s UK and international operations. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll provide independent oversight, challenge and assurance across infrastructure, applications, and transformation programmes. You’ll guide a team of specialists, shape our risk strategy, and help us stay ahead of emerging threats. This role brings real value by protecting our customers, our business, and our reputation. You’ll be part of the Technology and Transformation Leadership team, making a difference every day.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

• Deep expertise in IT, Cyber and Operational Resilience risk, ideally within financial services.
• Experience working in a Three Lines of Defence environment; with 1st line experience being essential and 2nd line exposure considered desirable.
• Experience supporting complex operational and transformation initiatives and regulatory compliance within Cyber and IT and Operational Resilience.
• Knowledge of risk frameworks, threat landscapes and resilience planning.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

• Salary circa £160,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
