The Aviva Wealth business is a key growth engine for the Aviva group, supporting customers as they save, invest and retire with Aviva. Key to this growth is a bold and ambitious transformation agenda that will ensure that the Wealth propositions continue to lead the market. This role will lead on how we translate strategy into actionable Wealth Platform deliveries across D2C, workplace and advised channels and ensure that the Wealth business meet our commitments to customers, distributors and the market.

The opportunity is open in York, Bristol, London or Norwich.

A bit about the job:

This role is accountable for the definition of the Wealth Platform development roadmap and is a key role within the Wealth & Advice Leadership team, their work influences the decisions of IWR ExCo on FNZ related change and prioritisation to meet business and commercial outcomes across Aviva i.e. Workplace, Advised and D2C channels. The role is solely accountable for leading the shaping team and process.

This includes engagement with Commercial Directors, MDs and their key propositional teams to shape the development of the strategic platforms and effectively lead the prioritisation and execution of change plans with a multi million FNZ portfolio spend per year. This is a critical strategic role in platform delivery and is essential to ensure  business strategies are effectively translated into executable plans that leverage the strategic benefit of common technology.  Critical success factors include the strategic influence and management of Commercial Directors and MDs within the business lines (Advised, Workplace, Direct) and Strategic Programmes eg Plan A to inform and execute on complex and at times conflicting priorities and plans.

You will hold strategic accountability for cost/budgeting and the end to end output of the shaping team, including engagement with stakeholders, management of backlog and sequencing decisions to manage activity.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Great understanding of the Wealth Platform market, experience in proposition development and the ability to translate business and commercial outcomes into deliverable solutions

  • Technical understanding of Wealth technology (in particular FNZ) and an appetite for understanding likely future trends.

  • Senior level influencing, stakeholder management and relationship building skills

  • Proven track record of successful delivery in a complex regulated business environment

  • Excellent people leadership skills in terms of motivation, performance and talent and resource management with experience of establishing new processes and teams

  • Starting salary between 100k and 140k (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
