Duration: Initial 12-month contract (programme expected to run up to 5 years)

Start Date: ASAP

The Opportunity

We are seeking two highly experienced Senior Integration Project Managers to join a major transformation programme within a leading insurance organisation.

These roles will play a critical part in the delivery of the ORCA programme, a large-scale £20m transformation initiative focused on cloud migration, system integration, and operational modernisation. The programme involves significant technology, data, regulatory, and operational change and requires strong project leadership to manage complex dependencies across multiple workstreams.

This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile, business-critical programme that will shape the organisation's technology landscape over the next five years.

The Role

As a Senior Integration Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving delivery across complex migration and integration activities, ensuring strong governance, stakeholder management, and programme control throughout the lifecycle.

Working alongside a large team of experienced delivery professionals, you will provide leadership across key programme workstreams, managing dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones while maintaining alignment with business, operational, regulatory, and technology objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex integration and migration workstreams within a large-scale transformation programme.

  • Drive delivery planning, governance, reporting, and risk management activities.

  • Manage cross-functional dependencies across technology, operations, data, security, and regulatory teams.

  • Ensure programme activities meet audit, compliance, and security requirements.

  • Coordinate stakeholders at all levels to maintain delivery momentum and programme alignment.

  • Support operational readiness activities and business transition planning.

  • Establish clear ownership and accountability across multiple parallel workstreams.

  • Provide regular updates to programme leadership and key stakeholders.

Programme Overview

The ORCA programme is being delivered in multiple phases:

  • Phase 1: Migration to a new cloud platform (target delivery August 2026).

  • Phase 2: Integration activities enabling claims handlers to operate on the new platform.

  • Phase 3: Simplification and optimisation of systems across the wider technology landscape.

The programme is expected to continue for up to five years, offering significant long-term engagement opportunities.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience delivering large-scale integration and migration programmes.

  • Proven track record managing complex technology transformation initiatives.

  • Strong governance, delivery management, and programme control experience.

  • Experience operating within environments subject to internal audit and regulatory oversight.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of cloud-based transformation programmes.

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, risks, and senior stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Experience working within large, complex delivery organisations.

  • Insurance sector experience.

  • Claims transformation experience.

  • Guidewire implementation or integration experience.

  • Financial services or banking sector experience.

  • Experience delivering large-scale operational readiness programmes.

What we are looking for

We need seasoned project managers who can hit the ground running. The successful candidates will have experience operating at scale, navigating complex delivery environments, and driving outcomes across multiple business and technology teams.

One role may particularly suit a candidate with deep claims and Guidewire experience, while the other may be more focused on large-scale transformation, migration, and integration delivery.
