We’re looking for an Internal Communications Manager who’s proactive, creative and knows what it takes to deliver brilliant comms.  

This is a 12-month fixed term role within Aviva’s Brand and Corporate Affairs Internal Communications team, based in London. You’ll be a trusted communications partner to two of our Group Functions, helping them connect, communicate and celebrate their impact across Aviva. And when big moments happen in other functions, you’ll be ready to step in and support there too.  

We want someone with strong internal comms experience, who can write compelling content, bring fresh ideas and work confidently with senior leaders. If you love making a difference, building relationships and helping teams shine, we’d love to hear from you.  

A bit about the job: 

You’ll be aligned to two of our Group Functions, acting as their comms partner, getting under the skin of their priorities and bringing their stories to life. Reporting to the Internal Comms Functions Senior Manager, you’ll be a key part of the Group and Functions Internal Comms team.  

Day to day you’ll build strong relationships, create impactful comms plans, and produce engaging and high-quality communications. From executive messages and talking points to event materials and creative briefs, you’ll make sure everything’s clear, consistent and on brand. You’ll shape events with compelling agendas and give leaders practical advice to help them communicate effectively.   

Skills and experience we're looking for: 

  • Strong Internal Communications experience alongside excellent writing skills and creative thinking with the ability to switch your style for different audiences and formats  

  • Experience delivering large communication campaigns and plans, across multiple channels and audiences and a good understanding of different channels like Workvivo, email and events, and comfortable publishing and managing content across them   

  • Experience advising senior leaders with the confidence to challenge and give honest feedback   

  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines and adapt when priorities shift   

  • A people person and a great teammate with low ego and high EQ - an energetic, positive and a welcome addition to every room
