London Market Pricing Manager

Salary c. £80,000

This is a great opportunity for an experienced London Market pricing professional who enjoys owning work, leading others, and partnering closely with underwriting teams. You bring strong London Market pricing expertise, ideally with Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) experience, and are excited to shape how pricing supports both business performance and future transformation.

You’ll operate at the intersection of technical pricing, stakeholder influence, and innovation, combining deep actuarial pricing expertise with a forward-looking mindset across data, tooling, and AI.

 

A bit about the role

You’ll join the Global Corporate & Specialty Pricing team, supporting the rapidly growing business in writing risks from all around the world including USA, Europe and Asia Pacific. The role has a focus on Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) business while also contributing to pricing and performance analysis across other London Market lines.

You will act as a trusted pricing partner to underwriters, leading complex pricing analysis and having close interactions with a number of MGA partners and brokers. You will also have opportunities to lead portfolio rate reviews and make a difference to our pricing capabilities and analytics including machine learning and AI-driven initiatives through introducing new tools and significantly enhancing existing.

A bit about the job:

  • Lead pricing and performance analysis for Delegated Authority (DUA) deals (binders, consortiums, line-slips), delivering case pricing, rate reviews, and deep-dive insights across London Market business lines.

  • Partner closely with underwriters on a day-to-day basis, providing robust challenge, guidance, and insight on pricing decisions.

  • Own and drive pricing projects, bringing forward innovative approaches to complex analytical problems.

  • Manage and develop Pricing Analyst(s), contributing to team capability and growth.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Underwriting, MGAs, Exposure Management, Finance, Claims, Data/BI) while supporting pricing transformation initiatives, including enhancing Python-based tools and advancing machine learning/AI applications.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Strong General Insurance background with extensive London Market / Lloyd’s experience, including pricing of large or complex risks

  • Experience across Delegated Authority, reinsurance or large case pricing deals

  • Trusted pricing partner to underwriters, owning technical outputs and clearly communicating assumptions and decisions

  • Advanced technical pricing expertise with a range of methodologies, plus ability to independently manage work and mentor analysts

  • Newly qualified actuary (FIA/FFA or equivalent) with interest in data, tooling, and advanced analytics (Python, ML/AI desirable)

  • Starting salary c, £80,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
