A bit about the job:
This role exists to manage high-value and complex Motor claims, helping customers through some of the most difficult moments in their lives.
You’ll join our Motability Large & Complex Loss team, working with experts to deliver fair outcomes and strong technical decisions.
You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of catastrophic injury claims, often valued over £1m.
You’ll also support colleagues, shape best practice, and influence how we handle large losses across the business.
Your work will help us deliver excellent customer outcomes while managing risk and cost effectively.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
A proven track record of handling motor personal injury claims from notification through to settlement in excess of £1m to £5m and beyond
Strong knowledge of relevant law and motor claims processes
Confidence making decisions and negotiating settlements
Ability to explain complex topics clearly to colleagues and customers
A collaborative approach with a focus on improving outcomes
What you’ll be doing:
Manage a portfolio of complex, high-value motor claims within your authority
Investigate claims and work with experts to understand liability and value
Negotiate fair settlements that deliver good customer outcomes
Support colleagues with technical guidance and coaching
Keep up to date with legal changes and apply them to your work
Help improve processes, efficiency, and overall claims performance
Manage risks in line with our framework and regulatory requirements
