At Aviva, the Customer & Marketing (C&M) Technology team is focused on delivering high-quality digital programmes for the UK market, partners, and customers—driven by customer experience, service excellence, and cost efficiency.

The Operations Manager (C&M) plays a key role in embedding the C&M strategy, engaging stakeholders across the leadership team, and staying attuned to market trends. The role ensures the CIO of C&M’s regulatory responsibilities are well-managed, supports preparation for senior meetings, and provides visibility across performance, change, risk, and other key activities.

A bit about the job:

  • Operates at pace with strong attention to detail.

  • Optimises performance across people, processes, risk, and planning.

  • Manages forward planning of CIO commitments and accountabilities.

  • Works within the Operational Risk and Control Management (ORCM) framework, escalating issues and ensuring compliance with delegated authorities.

  • Aligns priorities with Aviva’s strategic goals and technology needs for core markets.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Politically astute with strong organisational awareness and senior stakeholder networks at C-Suite level.

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.

  • Self-driven, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities.

  • Detail-oriented with a broad functional perspective.

  • Strategic thinker with creativity and the ability to connect diverse initiatives.

  • Starting salary between £75,000-£85,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
