PMO Specialist

This is a great role for someone who thrives in a structured environment, loves bringing order to complexity, and enjoys being the “control centre” that keeps large programmes running smoothly. It would suit someone with PMO or governance experience who is confident with planning, risks, financials and supporting senior stakeholders.

A bit about the job

You will be joining the Customer & Marketing CIO team, where you’ll play an important role in delivering a strategic digital transformation programme. In this position, you will provide high‑quality PMO support across the entire Customer & Marketing portfolio, working closely with both IT and Business teams. Your focus will be on bringing clarity, structure, and disciplined governance to a fast‑moving and constantly evolving change environment.

You will also operate within a Centre of Excellence that sets and champions best practice across Customer & Marketing change delivery. As part of this, you will ensure that Steering Group materials are of the highest quality, that programmes are built on realistic and well‑evidenced plans, and that colleagues receive clear, knowledgeable PMO support and guidance. Your contribution will help drive successful transformation and strengthen the overall quality and consistency of change delivery across the organisation.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in a PMO or project delivery role within a complex programme (financial services experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Solid understanding of IT and Business portfolios, including planning, governance, and risk management disciplines
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, assess plan quality, and support informed decision‑making at senior levels
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills, with confidence engaging across all levels
  • Hands‑on experience with PPM tools, Jira, and other programme management technologies, with awareness of Generative AI concepts is desirable
