This is a great role for someone who is an experienced infrastructure and cloud delivery professional who thrives on leading complex, multi‑stream projects. Someone who enjoys driving clarity, structure and quality across cloud migration, platform modernisation and deployment initiatives. This role will suit you if you have strong experience delivering AWS cloud migrations and hybrid cloud programmes and you’re ready to take ownership of large‑scale, business‑critical change.
A bit about the job:
This role exists at the heart of our infrastructure and cloud transformation activity, ensuring projects are delivered consistently, efficiently, and to high quality. You’ll join a collaborative engineering and delivery community responsible for modernising Aviva’s platforms, migrating workloads to the cloud, and supporting major organisational and technical change.
You’ll lead end‑to‑end delivery of multiple projects — from shaping scope and schedules to managing suppliers, risks, budgets, and stakeholder expectations. Your work will directly support Aviva’s strategy, enabling secure, scalable, modern infrastructure capabilities for the future.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Proven experience delivering cloud and infrastructure programmes, including data centre and application migrations
- A strong track record leading AWS cloud migration projects.
- Solid understanding of traditional infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, virtualisation) and good working knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), including identity, security and networking concepts.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with experience managing scope, timelines, risks, resources, and dependencies across multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with confidence working across technical teams, suppliers, and senior leaders.
