Product Review Actuary
We are looking for a seasoned and analytical Product Review Actuary to join our Life and Pensions team. Based in our Hatch Street location, this pivotal role ensures our product suite delivers fair value to customers, complies with regulatory and internal standards, and adapts to evolving market expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Product Lifecycle Oversight: Conduct actuarial reviews across the full product lifecycle, evaluating commercial performance, customer outcomes, sustainability, and strategic fit.
- Fair Value for Money (FvFM) Assessments: Lead and document FvFM assessments in line with Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) and Consumer Protection Code (CPC) requirements, as well as internal governance standards.
- Terms & Conditions Compliance: Monitor adherence to contractual terms, identify potential deviations, and recommend appropriate mitigations.
- Governance & Reporting: Present findings, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance bodies, including the Product Oversight and Risk Committees.
- Regulatory Alignment: Stay current with regulatory developments and ensure ongoing compliance in all product reviews.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Product Development, Pricing, Risk, Compliance, Customer Experience, and Distribution to ensure well-rounded assessments.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of product governance frameworks, applying actuarial insights to enhance customer value and business outcomes.
Skills & Experience:
- Professional Qualifications: Qualified actuary (FIA, FSAI, or equivalent), ideally with experience in life and pensions.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of life insurance and pension products, particularly within the Irish market.
- Regulatory Expertise: Familiarity with CBI guidelines, CPC, and Consumer Duty.
- Analytical Acumen: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex product structures and customer value metrics.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and committees.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence and collaborate across functions using sound actuarial judgment.
