Salary: National c. £75,000 – London c. £85,000 (Depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)

A bit about the job:

This role sits within Aviva’s Digital Engineering team, part of the Customer & Marketing function, which is undergoing a strategic transformation. You’ll lead the delivery of digital products and platforms across web, mobile and B2B channels, ensuring engineering excellence and regulatory compliance. You’ll be accountable for shaping technical strategy, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and transitioning programmes into business-as-usual operations.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Proven experience leading large-scale digital programmes across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong technical delivery background in .NET, React, React Native, and API-first architectures
• Expertise in CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, and digital governance frameworks
• Ability to manage risks, dependencies, and transitions to BAU in regulated environments
• Exceptional leadership with the ability to communicate, engage, and influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains.

• Starting salary between c. £75,000 and c. £85,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
