Quality Engineering Architect
Quality Engineering Architect
Location: Norwich, Bristol, York or Perth
Salary: Circa £70k
This is a great job for someone who enjoys shaping how quality engineering and testing works across the business. You might already be a Quality Engineering Architect or a Senior Quality Engineer ready to take the next step.
A bit about the job
You’ll lead how we deliver quality across our technology teams. You’ll set standards, improve how we test, and help teams build reliable, high-quality solutions. Working closely with engineers, architects, and product teams, you’ll shape our approach to automation, risk, and quality. You’ll also support and mentor others, helping them grow their skills. Your work will help us deliver better outcomes for our customers.
You’ll lead how we approach testing across our teams, making it smarter, faster, and more reliable. You’ll design and improve automated testing frameworks, helping teams use tools like Selenium and Playwright effectively. You’ll spot gaps, risks, and trends in testing quality, then put practical improvements in place.
Working closely with engineers and product teams, you’ll make sure testing is built in from the start, not added at the end. You’ll also explore new ways to test, including using AI, and support others to build their testing skills and confidence.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
- Strong experience in quality engineering, test automation, and frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright
- Experience setting standards and improving ways of working across multiple teams
- Ability to lead, coach, and support engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Understanding of risk, governance, and quality assurance processes
- Interest in emerging technologies such as AI for testing and automation
