This is a great job for someone with risk management experience in General Insurance who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders and providing meaningful challenge across complex and evolving business areas. You'll be confident operating in a second-line risk role, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and motivated by the opportunity to influence strategic decisions across transformation, supplier oversight and major claims activity, including Specialty lines and Lloyd's.

A bit about the role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Risk Business Partner to join our General Insurance Claims Risk Business Partnering team. Supporting Claims COO and Transformation, Claims Supply Chain, and Major & Complex Claims (including Specialty lines and Lloyd's), you will provide independent oversight, insight and challenge to help drive effective risk management across some of the most dynamic areas of the business. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will support risk-aware decision-making, robust governance and compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements. The role plays a key part in ensuring risks are effectively identified, assessed and managed, while providing valuable risk insight to Claims and senior leadership.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • An experienced Risk Business Partner working within the insurance industry, ideally with experience in Lloyd’s and/or General Insurance.
  • Experience providing risk oversight and challenge across transformation activity, third-party supplier arrangements and complex stakeholder environments, with the ability to operate effectively within a matrix organisation.
  • A strong critical thinker, able to challenge material business decisions and operate effectively in complex and ambiguous environments.
  • Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Able to identify emerging risks and “join the dots”, translating insight into clear implications for the business.
