A bit about the job: 

We’re looking for a Senior Risk Business Partner to join our Personal Lines team.

You’ll play a key role in providing trusted, independent risk insight and challenge to 1st line leaders and their teams.

Working closely with the Head of Risk – PL and a wide network of risk and compliance colleagues, you’ll help shape and oversee robust business and change planning across the UK GI business. 

You’ll represent the entirety of the Risk Function using our One Risk approach—bringing in the right experts at the right time to ensure effective oversight and assurance.

Your work will help build a clear, timely understanding of the Personal Lines risk profile, supporting better outcomes for customers, regulators, and the business. 

Skills and experience we’re looking for: 

  • Experienced risk and General Insurance professional with a broad understanding of Personal Lines, the UK (FCA/PRA) regulatory landscape, general insurance market dynamics and commerciality. 

  • Strong analytical and communication skills to identify and convey complex risk information in a clear and concise manner, which facilitates valuable collaboration between Risk teams and business areas. 

  • Comfortable working across a variety of risk categories (e.g. conduct, operational, change, strategy, pricing), calling upon and working with technical SMEs/colleagues to support as needed. 

  • Can operate in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities across spectrums such as proposition development, operations, regulation and change programmes. 

  • Able to develop effective relationships at all levels across all lines of defence. Also able to demonstrate great personal and professional integrity and credibility.

  • Salary: National: Circa 75000 and London : Circa £90000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
