Software Engineer
Software Engineer – Galahad Platform Team
Salary: circa £45,000
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to help us build and improve the internal platforms that support Group Protection. This role exists to keep our production systems reliable, secure, and performing well. You’ll join a supportive Platform team that enables our product squads to deliver great software efficiently. We work closely with colleagues across engineering, testing, and operations to solve issues and keep services running smoothly.
A bit about the job
- Logging, tracking, and managing incidents through to resolution.
- Supporting business-led change and helping deliver improvements.
- Creating scripts and tools that automate tasks and enhance performance.
- Supporting risk, control, PEN and audit assessments.
- Keeping documentation clear, accurate, and up to date.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Experience supporting high-transaction, mission-critical systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
- Experience with automation and delivering tooling improvements.
- Technical skills in AWS, SQL and Oracle fundamentals, PowerShell, Jenkins or similar CI tooling, Digital.ai (XLR)

- Salary circa £45,000 for National based (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
