A bit about the job
You’ll help us run and improve our retirement platform, which supports our Bulk Purchase Annuity business. This platform helps manage pension schemes and deliver great outcomes for customers. You’ll support day-to-day system performance, respond to user queries, and help deliver improvements. Working closely with engineers, business teams, and partners to keep everything running smoothly.
Ultimately you'll play a key role in keeping the platform stable, secure, and ready for change.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll support users by responding to queries, resolving incidents, and managing service tickets to keep the platform running smoothly. You’ll monitor system performance and availability, acting quickly to fix issues and minimise disruption. You’ll help deliver system updates and improvements, including supporting releases and scheduled processes.
Working closely with colleagues and partners, you’ll help build secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. You’ll also keep documentation up to date, support onboarding of new work, and look for ways to improve how we deliver and support the platform.
Skills & Experience
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and how systems are built, supported, and improved as well as familiarity with configuring and tailoring third-party applications (e.g. EQ Administrator).
- Experience working with databases (such as SQL) and handling data confidently
- Ability to work collaboratively and explain technical information clearly to different audiences
- Experience supporting systems or users, including working with ticketing tools and resolving issues
- A proactive approach to improving processes, with exposure to automation, AI tools, or modern technologies. Exposure to Oracle DB, batch processing frameworks, and pension administration systems is desirable.

- Starting salary circa £38k (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
