Workday Consultant

Location: Leeds or Norwich

Salary: Circa £50k

We are seeking a Workday Consultant to join our in-house People Systems team. This role is designed for a specialist who excels in core HCM configuration.

You will play a key role in maximising our Workday investment, with a particular focus on implementing Generative AI, automation, and enhanced self-service functionality to support our colleagues and broader IT estate.

A bit about the job

This role supports the effective use and ongoing development of Workday modules, acting as a key point of contact for system-related queries across the People function.

You will help deliver system improvements by translating business requirements into practical configurations, supporting areas such as process design, security, and testing.

The role encourages continuous improvement, including identifying opportunities to enhance self-service and automation, with growing exposure to AI-enabled functionality. You will contribute to both day‑to‑day system activities and change initiatives such as annual pay review cycles, while working closely with the wider People Systems team to share knowledge and support a collaborative, high‑performing environment.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

• Previous experience in Workday HCM configuration.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in one or more of the following; business process configuration, security set-up, reporting, integrations
• Forward-Thinking: The ability to contribute to a fast-paced roadmap and a genuine interest in emerging technologies like Workday Illuminate.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Detail-Oriented: A commitment to data accuracy and high-quality technical documentation.

• Starting salary circa £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
