Actuarial Analysis & Insight Lead

We're looking for an experienced actuarial leader to join our Actuarial & Assurance team as Actuarial Reporting Analysis & Insight Lead. In this highly visible leadership role, you'll lead a team of actuaries and data scientists responsible for delivering actuarial reporting, regulatory submissions, insightful financial analysis, and strategic business recommendations.
You'll play a critical role in shaping reporting excellence, strengthening governance, and providing commercial insights that support decision-making across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to influence key business outcomes while helping to drive innovation and continuous improvement within our actuarial function.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high-performing team of actuaries and data scientists, setting the vision for best-in-class actuarial reporting, analysis, insight, and continuous professional development.
Oversee the delivery and review of Solvency II and IFRS reporting, including analysis of surplus movements, solvency monitoring, assumption setting, and regulatory submissions.
Provide clear, actionable insights from experience analysis, stress testing, scenario modelling, and balance sheet performance to support strategic business decision-making.
Drive operational excellence by enhancing controls, improving automation, reducing reliance on end-user spreadsheets, and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency across reporting processes, including supporting Aviva's iCare approach to risk management, governance, and control effectiveness.
Build strong relationships across Finance, Risk, Investments, Commercial teams, auditors, and senior stakeholders, ensuring robust governance and effective communication of complex actuarial matters.
Skills & Experience
Qualified Actuary with extensive post-qualification experience and a strong track record within actuarial reporting environments.
Deep knowledge of Solvency II, IFRS reporting requirements, actuarial methodologies, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate complex actuarial results into meaningful business insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience leveraging data analytics, automation, modelling techniques, or AI-enabled solutions to enhance reporting effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Fitness and Probity
This is a Regulated Role and will be subject to enhanced pre-employment screening procedures. There will be an on-going requirement for the role holder to maintain fit and proper status.

The expected pay range for this role will fall between €120,000 and €140,000 and salary offered will commensurate with candidate's level of skills and experience.
A competitive market leading salary depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
Other discretionary benefits at this grade may include an additional car allowance of €9,000 per annum
