A bit about the job

This role exists to help Aviva design and scale secure, responsible AI and GenAI platforms that support great customer outcomes. You’ll join a forward‑thinking architecture team that sets technical direction across our AI estate. We work closely with business and technology leaders to translate strategy into robust, future‑ready solutions.

You’ll be accountable for defining AI architecture standards, guiding complex design decisions and supporting safe delivery across GenAI programmes. Ultimately, you’ll help ensure our AI platforms are scalable, compliant and delivering real value.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

  • Proven experience designing and governing complex technology and AI architectures at scale
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure), AI/ML or GenAI frameworks and architecture patterns
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders to define roadmaps and technical direction
  • Ability to balance innovation with risk, governance, regulation and security requirements
  • A clear, collaborative communication style that brings others with you

  • Starting salary circa £100k (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
