A bit about the job:
We are recruiting for a Group Data Management Lead who will work across the Aviva Group to implement and own new Enterprise Data Services. You will be a key member of the Chief Data Office, having the scope and opportunity to drive the implementation of data management services, standards, best practices and influence the approach to data governance across the organisation.
You will develop and improve processes, systems and services that create a step change in the capability, culture and mindset of our people towards managing data as a product and as an asset.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Deep understanding of the mechanics behind managing the data lifecycle
- Practical experience of data management disciplines including Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Access Management, Reference Data Management, Data Retention and Privacy Management; DAMA CDMP would be an advantage but not essential
- Experience with the definition of metadata standards, data models and data quality frameworks ;Practical knowledge and experience of data management technologies, preferably within the regulated Financial Services sector
- Demonstrable experience of selecting and successfully implementing data management systems such as Alation, Collibra, Atacama, Immuta within a cloud environment
- Ability to influence and manage stakeholders and peers, particularly those who may be less data literate

- Starting salary Regional: circa £100k / London: circa £110k (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
