Head of Governance & Assurance

Duties & Responsibilities:
Governance & Oversight: Responsible for 1st Line Risk & Control Governance, Outsourcing Governance, Offshoring Governance.
Operational Resilience: Serve as the Operational Resilience Operational Sponsor, leading the development of the Operational Resilience framework and managing live incidents.
Outsourcing Management: Develop and maintain an outsourcing governance framework, manage key outsourced customer service organizations, and ensure effective management of other outsourcers.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as an ambassador for ALPIDAC, strengthen brand awareness, and develop strategic stakeholder communications to embed cultural change.
Risk Management: Ensure ALPIDAC operates within the approved risk appetite framework, identify risk culture issues early, and provide analysis and insight to senior leadership teams.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in governance, assurance and risk management within the Insurance and or Financial services industry.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence executive boards and senior stakeholders, including C-suite individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Professional qualifications in governance or related fields are desirable.
