A bit about the job:
You will lead the Growth and Investment team within the Political Advocacy function of Group Public Affairs. Drive and coordinate strategic engagement with Combined Authorities (CAs), local government, and institutional partners to unlock regional investment opportunities. Support the delivery of the Group Public Affairs strategy by aligning with Aviva’s investment priorities and broader business objectives. You will champion and communicate Aviva’s economic and social impact to build influential political and institutional relationships that advance our regional and national goals.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Proven ability to lead and collaborate across teams with a strategic, commercial and solutions-oriented mindset and strong track record of delivering cross-functional collaboration and aligning strategic objectives.
Extensive experience in public affairs and/or political roles.
Deep understanding of regional economic development, regeneration institutional investment, and local government structures.
Strong project management skills and the ability to navigate complex political and organisational environments.
Experience in financial services or a large corporate environment (desirable).

Salary circa £110,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
Bonus opportunity – 25% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
