Salary: £50,000 - £65,000

If yes, then you may be the perfect fit for this opportunity to make your mark as a Lead Data Scientist within Aviva’s Global Corporate & Specialty (GCS) Data and AI Team.

A bit about the job

You’ll join our Global Corporate & Specialty (GCS) Data and AI team to transform our business through strong internal and external stakeholder partnerships to enable a market leading data-driven organisation that empowers our expert colleagues.

You’ll have experience of working with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify and seize opportunities to apply AI and solve real-world problems. You’ll play a key part in shaping the future of GCS insurance through cutting-edge analytics, providing new data-driven insights and designing and delivering successful, productionised AI solutions that improve decision making for our stakeholders.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

• Experience using data to solve complex business problems and deliver practical outcomes
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently to develop data-driven solutions
• Confidence engaging with stakeholders and clearly explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Strong programming skills (e.g. Python, SQL, R) with experience building data science and AI models
• Experience mentoring others and contributing to a collaborative, supportive team environment, experience leading and supporting a small team desirable but not necessary.

• Starting salary £50,000 - £65,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
