A bit about the job
You’ll be part of a dynamic team designing, building, and deploying generative AI solutions that solve real problems for Aviva and our customers. Working with one of the richest insurance datasets in the world, you’ll apply modern AI engineering practices across the full lifecycle—from data ingestion and embedding to deployment and monitoring. You’ll collaborate closely with solution architects, platform engineers, and governance colleagues to deliver enterprise‑ready AI that is secure, compliant, and scalable. This role exists to help embed AI as a strategic capability across Aviva, creating meaningful impact at pace.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
- Hands-on experience building AI solutions, including work with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, Crew AI, Strands, or similar
- Strong working knowledge of AWS, alongside experience using CI/CD pipelines, Git, and infrastructure‑as‑code
- Experience with front-end or full‑stack development using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, or similar, and deploying containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes
- Confidence working in regulated environments, with an understanding of security, compliance, and privacy‑preserving AI practices
- The ability to communicate clearly, explain technical ideas to non‑specialists, and work collaboratively across diverse teams

- Starting salary circa £55,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
